Brand Guide

My team and I recently provided a much needed brand update to the Toll Brothers (a Fortune 500 company) brand and identity. For many years, there were inconsistencies in layout, color, type, and voice from medium to medium, and we were able to address many theses inconsistencies as well as updating an aged toolkit with a brand refresh. From this refresh, we had assembled a V1 of these Brand Guidelines giving some direction to our team of designers as well as external partners. I designed and built this interactive version on a CMS for the team to easily update and add as we define going forward. Another fun project was designing and currating a set of iconography to use consistently throughout all of our corporate, ancillary, regional, and community(300+) identities.

about me

I’m Justin and Lifefroots is my portfolio.

"Why 'lifefroots'?" Well...justinwagner.com was taken. It was an attempt to play on either the 'fruits of my life' or 'my life roots'. I thought it might linger in mind longer than any other thought I had at the time. It was fine for the time being and it just stuck over the years.

It all started with video...I spent my childhood filming and editing BMX videos of my friends and I. That led me to my video and photographic studies. From there, I fell into working on the web. I am a collector and a completest at heart, so I decided that I needed to learn how to code. I learned HTML,CSS,JS,PHP and worked as a lead front-end dev for a few years. Again as a completist, I moved from web to interface which then led me to focus on the importance of overall user experience. After checking all of those boxes, I returned to design and its role in the overall customer's experience. I am currently working as the ACD of Video and UX at Toll Brothers leading all interactive, digital, and video content.

Aside from brand and clean code, I love bicycles, my cats, technology (part fanboy/part audiophile), history, and anything vintage.

Thank you for your time, and I hope you found at least something interesting here. Want to create something special together?
